Beth Camilleri is a young female entrepreneur and founder of The London Dolls. A salon based in Hackney, East London, that offers beauty and wellbeing services, including long lasting eyelash extensions, permanent make-up, nails, therapies and lifestyle products.

Beth was keen to give the brand a fresh new look ahead of her big move to London Fields... from London Fields. The exisiting small studio had been a big success but the time was right to take the next step up the beauty ladder to a much larger salon space around the corner. The new studio enables Beth to grow her team of beauty specialists and cope with the ever increasing demand for her services.

We were given the challenge to recreate the brand so it appeals to new clients whilst not alienating her existing crowd of loyal customers. Beth was looking for a new way of presenting her brand so that she would be able to get on the radar of the right beauty journalists and wellbeing bloggers in London.

To give the brand a more urban feel we abbreviated The London Dolls down to THE LDN DLS - a simple twist that helped us avoid using ‘dolls’ (old east London slang for pretty young women that could be seen as a negative term in this age of female empowerment).

The new branding has been a beautiful success. The studio had a soft launch in the spring of 2018 and the diary was full of bookings for weeks in advance with old & new customers.

This project was created for The London Dolls by Stu and the team at BTL.
